Arms haul drive in BD

DHAKA, Sept 7: Bangladesh Army, paramilitary Bangladesh Rifles and police have started a combined operation along the 172-km Bandarban-Myanmar frontier to track the armed troublemakers down and eliminate terrorism.

The administration became extremely concerned after the recovery of some modern and sophisticated arms including rocket launchers, grenade launchers, USA made AK-47 and M-16 rifles, live grenades and a huge quantity of ammunition in two separate drives at Lulaingpara of Roangchhari and Lembuchhari of Naingkhiongchhari upazila of Bandarban on August 25 and 26, respectively.
