By Our Reporter

RAWALPINDI, Sept 5: Civil Judge Iqbal Haral on Friday issued arrest warrants for four Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) activists for not appearing in the court during the hearing of an anti- government rally case.

Those issued arrest warrants included Riaz Gujjar, Farooq Khattak, Zarif Raja and Mohammad Shafique. The City police station had nominated eleven PML-N activists in an FIR for taking out an anti-government rally about a year ago.

The court also directed the station house officer (SHO) of the City police station to arrest these four PML-N activists and produce them in the court on October 23.

Central vice president Syed Zafar Ali Shah, information secretary Siddiqul Farooq and a number of activists were also present in the court.

Meanwhile, Additional District and Sessions Judge Chaudhry Imtiaz rejected the bail plea of an accused who had abducted a woman and killed her after assaulting her for one month.

According to the FIR registered by Waris Khan police, Syed Mohammad abducted Samina Bibi and assaulted her during her one- month detention, while keeping her on drugs. When, Samina’s condition deteriorated for high intake of the drugs, Syed Mohammad killed her.
