KARACHI: Varsity status proposed


KARACHI, Sept 5: City Nazim Naimatullah Khan on Friday attended a meeting of board of governors for law colleges in Sindh and supported the suggestion for granting degree-awarding status to S. M. Law College, Karachi.

City Nazim Naimatullah Khan, who attended the board meeting on special invitation by Advisor to the chief Minister Aftab Ahmed Shaikh said provincial educational institutions should be upgraded to improve standard and quality of education.

The meeting decided that a committee would be formed whose members would be selected by the chairman of the board and it would take necessary action to seek degree-awarding status for the college.

Aftab Shaikh thanked the City Nazim for specially attending the meeting.—PPI
