Three men die in accidents

KARACHI, Sept 1: Three persons died in separate road traffic accidents in different parts of the city on Monday.

A young motorcyclist was crushed to death by a minibus of route G-7 on M.A. Jinnah Road on Monday.

Police said that Masood Zahoor, 26, was on his motorcycle near Capri Cinema when he was knocked down to death. His body was taken to the Civil Hospital Karachi for post-mortem examination. Masood was the resident of Liaquatabad.

The minibus driver escaped from the spot following the accident while leaving behind the vehicle. Police impounded the minibus.

In another accident, Riazuddin, 55, was killed by a speeding bus near Sales Tax Office, Site. The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Police arrested the driver Manzar Ali and impounded the vehicle.

In Azizabad, an elderly man died in a road accident on Sunday night. Police said that Abu Bakar was hit by a car. He was taken to a private hospital.

Later, some unknown persons set the vehicle on fire.
