Quetta City Council continues protest
QUETTA, Aug 30: The Quetta City District Council continued its protest against Quetta DCO and Wasa MD for challenging the authority of City Government Nazim.
The House did not debate the budget for 2003-04 and deferred the matter till Tuesday next.
The Council members have been protesting against Wasa Managing-Director and Quetta DCO for not obeying orders of the City Government Nazim.
City District Nazim Muhammad Rahim Kakar made Wasa engineer Shahid Durani an Official on Special Duty (OSD) on Aug 21 after the latter had refused to come in the House.
However, Quetta DCO had asked the Wasa engineer to continue his work on the same post, violating the Quetta City District Government Nazim order.
Naib Nazim Mir Wali Jan Lehri, who is also Convener of the Council, presided over proceedings on Saturday.
