Russia to back US-led force
LA MADDALENA (Italy), Aug 30: Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Saturday Moscow would not oppose the establishment of an international force in Iraq under US command so long as it was authorized by the United Nations Security Council.
“We see nothing wrong with having an international force under American command. But there must be a United Nations resolution,” Mr Putin said.—AFP
