KARACHI: Workshop for medical librarians


KARACHI, Aug 29: The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP), in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), is to hold the first two-day national workshop for medical librarians at its premises on Tuesday.

The workshop is aimed at updating the librarians’ knowledge about latest IT versions available for searching literature and enhancing the participants’ skills in using database, including MEDLINE and Extra Med, adopting uniform system of medical classification and cataloguing NLM and MeSH, and familiarization with literature of health sciences, specially national publications.

The medical librarians belonging to all major medical institutions of the country are to attend the workshop.—PPI
