50 computer centres for women to be established

By Our Staff Reporter

RAWALPINDI, Aug 27: The district government would establish 50 computer literacy centres for women in the next few weeks, said district Nazim Raja Tariq Kiani. Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of one of these centres at Women Development Center, Naz Cinema, he said, it was imperative for women to acquire computer skills for becoming financially independent.

He said women should benefit from the modern technology rather than relying on conventional trades like sewing and cutting.

These centers would be established at the locations recommended by the female members of the district council.
