Begum Sarfraz passes away
ISLAMABAD, Aug 27: A writer and the chairperson of Majlis-i-Faiz Ahmad Faiz, Begum Sarfraz Iqbal, died early on Tuesday in the United States.
She was the author of Daman-i-Yusuf, a collection of letters written to her by Faiz during his exile. She was also associated with several literary and cultural organizations in the federal capital, and was joint the secretary of the Archaeological and Historical Association of Pakistan and the vice-president of Daira, a literary organization.
Her funeral will be held at 1:30pm here on Thursday at Bilal Masjid Bazar Road, Covered Market, Sector G-6/3.—APP
