By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, Aug 27: Three workers die on Wednesday evening when the roof of a coal mine collapsed in the Duki area of Loralai district, some 200km north-east of here.

Sources said workers were busy in digging when the mine roof caved in and they buried under the debris.

A rescue team rushed to the spot and recovered the dead bodies of all the three miners after four hour’s hectic efforts. The victims were identified as Alaf Din, Mohammad Hussain and Alam Khan.

The mine has been closed and the authorities concerned have ordered a probe into the incident.
