LAHORE, Aug 27: Export Promotion Bureau chairman Tariq Ikram on Wednesday said the issues relating to the tax rebate on export of branded rice in the packing of 5-50 kg would be sorted out soon.

“We want that the benefit of this incentive goes only to genuine brands,” he said during a meeting with the members of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry here.

Talking about the criteria being considered for the rebate, Tariq Ikram said the brand of the rice being exported should be registered at least in one foreign country in addition to Pakistan.—APP
