3 timber smugglers held
HARIPUR, Aug 25: Police foiled an attempt to smuggle timber and arrested three persons here on Sunday.
Sources said that the Khanpur police working on a tip-off stopped three Islamabad-bound Datsun pickups near Kohala and during the search recovered over 150ft of valuable timber from the vehicles.
Timber smuggling from the Kohala Khanpur road and the Chappar road to Punjab and other parts of the country is a common practice in district Haripur.—Correspondent
