KARACHI, Aug 25: Five ships carrying containers and chemicals are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was slow where three ships, Kota Teguh and Clipper to unload and load containers, and Stolt Excellence to offload chemicals were berthed after the departure of four.

The ships, which departed included PONL Mare, Sorena, Venus and Stolt Excellence, while Kota Teguh, Sima Bahar, Islamabad and City of London are due to sail out on Tuesday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves fell to 44,316 tons comprising 11,470 tons of export cargo and 32,846 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Mary Ann, with 50,000 tons of high speed diesel, Kota Wajar, Prodigal and Oriental Bright and Orient Stride, with containers.
