Honours for Army
KARACHI, Aug 24: Pakistan Army Reds beat Pakistan Railways 78-49 in an exciting final of All-Pakistan Inter-Departmental Basketball Tournament here at KPT Sports Complex on Sunday. The soldiers took the lead in half time and scored 46 points while Pakistan Railways managed to score 19 points.
Army’s Ashfaq was the top scorer and made 23, while Mudassir managed 15. Ali Bukhsh was the leading scorer from Pakistan Railways who scored 15 points and Shehzad made 8.
Pakistan Army Reds showed good performance in 3rd and 4th quarters and beat Pakistan Railways with considerable margin of 78-49.
Sindh Minister for Sports Engineer Naeem Ishtiaq was the chief guest and gave away prizes. Tournament’s best player award was given to Nawazish Ali of Pakistan Army.
