Clubs boycott trials

By Our Correspondent

BADIN, Aug 24: Sixteen cricket clubs boycotted the trials for Quaid-i-Azam Trophy on Sunday which were held under the supervision of secretary District Cricket Association (DCA) Badin, Farooq Rustamani.

Consequently, only three clubs participated in the trials as a result of which Badin district would be able to participate in the trophy matches.

The captains and players of the other clubs protested outside the Grounds accusing the secretary DCA of favouritism, partisan attitude and playing with the laws of his own club law.

They said that committee formed for trials by secretary lacked experienced people and demanded that retrials be held.
