Amin vows to fight for minorities rights

ISLAMABAD, Aug 21: Makhdoom Amin Fahim, the president of the People’s Party-Parliamentarians (PPP-P) vowed to continue struggle for the rights of minorities and abolishing the discriminatory laws against them.

The PPP-P leader made this pledge during a meeting with the chairman of the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA), Shahbaz Bhatti, here on Thursday.

He also said the party would never compromise on the supremacy of Constitution and the parliament and will not accept the Legal Framework Order (LFO).

Makhdoom Amin Fahim said the minorities played a significant role in the defence, prosperity and development of the country. “They are equal citizens of the country and should enjoy equal rights.

All discriminatory laws and victimization of minorities should be done away with,” the PPP-P chief said.—Our Reporter
