GUJRANWALA, Aug 21: A local court sentenced on Thursday two men to death for killing one of their rivals.
They were also fined Rs200,000 each.
Judge Muhammad Ayub Khan acquitted co-accused Yousaf and Muhammad Bashir, giving them the benefit of doubt.
According to the prosecution, Ijaz Ahmad and Bashir Ahmad had on Aug 27, 2001, killed Muhammad Naeem in Ferozewala village over enmity.
Meanwhile, the judge issued show-cause notice to Satellite Town SHO for not appearing before the court in connection with a case on Thursday.
BODY RECOVERED: The body of the boy who drowned in Nullah Deg on Aug 14 was recovered on Thursday.
