KARACHI, Aug 21: Three ships carrying crude oil, edible oil and coal were allotted berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Berth occupancy remained firm as six ships, Jordon, Al-Masi, S.D. Progress, emblem, Nor Sea, Atlantic Sol were busy in loading and offloading containers, coal, edible oil and crude oil.

A cargo volume of 40,027 tons comprising 32,836 tons of import cargo and 7,191 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Four ships, Fort Fleur Depee, Garrison Savanah, Al-Masi and Jordon sailed out. Two containers ships, Ville De Mars and Maersk, were due to take berths at QICT.

Titan Venus, Asia Grace and Chemroad Luna were due to arrive at the port, while Eburan is due on Friday.
