Land disputes

KARACHI, Aug 19: The KCCI president Mian Nasser Maggo in a communication to the Sindh Governor has called for expediting the settlement of land disputes and regularization of frozen lands by Sindh government’s Regularization Committee.

A KCCI statement on Tuesday said that Mr Maggo drew the Governor’s attention towards letter No P-Tax-34/4627 dated June 23, 2003, in which the Governor was requested to issue instruction for expediting the settlement of land disputes and regularization of frozen lands by the Regularization Committee.

However, the KCCI president maintained, no significant progress appears to have been made by the committee so far to regularize the cancelled lands, after payment of differential amount.—APP
