Govt committed to uplift of women, says Jamali

ISLAMABAD, Aug 17: Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali has said the government is striving to empower women by providing better education and health facilities to them.

The prime minister was talking to Senator Dr Nighat Agha, who called on him on Sunday and discussed matters pertaining to economic empowerment of women in the country.

The prime minister said women constituted more than half of the country’s population and the government wanted their active participation in every walk of life.

The prime minister also referred to the steps taken to bring women into the mainstream.
