DADU: Village flooded

DADU, Aug 12: The Aliabad village in the Kachho belt was flooded on Monday as water gushed into the village from the hills on Monday.

The protective bund of the village was destroyed.

The animals and valuables of the villagers were swept away in the floods.

Some of the affected villagers told newsmen at the Flood Protective Bund in Mehar Taluka that no district administration official had arrived to help them.

They said that the protective bund called Ring Bund was destroyed in the floods and 400 huts were flooded.

The Naib Nazim, Union Council Faridabad, Imtiaz Chandio, told newsmen that at least the villagers of 50 villages in the area were facing hardships as they had been cut off from all link roads.
