KARACHI: 132 vehicles taken away in a week

KARACHI, Aug 10: Bandits took away 132 vehicles — 53 cars and 79 motorcycles — during the last one week in various parts of Karachi.

According to the police statistics, 23 cars were taken away at gunpoint by the bandits and 30 others were stolen from Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Gulistan-i-Jauhar, Gulberg, Clifton, Jamshed Quarters, Saddar towns.

A total of 32 motorcycles were hijacked and 47 were stolen from Gulberg, New Karachi, Korangi, Landhi, Lyari, North Nazimabad, Nazimabad, Saddar, Gulshan-i-Iqbal and other areas.

Meanwhile, police claimed the recovery of 48 stolen cars and 36 motorcycles during the last one week.
