Nine injured as mosque’s turrets fall

FAISALABAD, Aug 8: Nine people were injured, two of them seriously, when a dozen turrets of a mosque collapsed due to heavy rain in Allama Iqbal Colony here on Friday.

Over 200 faithful were offering their Friday prayers when the turrets erected on the walls of the mosque collapsed. Nine people sustained injuries. The injured — Niaz, Idrees, Haq Nawaz, Akhtar Ali, Amir Ali, Shabbir, Sakhawat, Jamshed and Abdul Ghafoor — were taken to the Allied Hospital where the condition of Ghafoor and Niaz was stated to be critical.
