KARACHI: Fund-raising exhibition

KARACHI, Aug 8: The Sociology Department of Karachi University has organized an exhibition for raising funds for rain and flood victims of Sindh at the arts auditorium on Aug 13.

Chairman Sociology Department Dr Fateh Muhammed said the money generated through the exhibition would go to the Relief Fund set up by the provincial government.

He said that a programme for celebration of Independence Day would also be arranged in a simple manner on the same day.

Dr Fateh said that the programme would include national songs, dramas and speeches on “The role of social sciences in the development of Pakistan”.

He said that the Independence Day had come at the time, when the whole province was in deep sorrow due to the flood and rains in the interior of Sindh.—APP
