KARACHI, Aug 7: City District Government Karachi on Thursday initiated a fumigation campaign to control growth of mosquitoes and flies in the city.

The city has been swarmed by insects after the recent rains.

During the campaign, which will continue till Aug 26, 2003 every town will be sprayed twice with insecticides.

According to the schedule in Layari and Orangi Town the campaign will be launched on Aug 5 and 16, while in Gadab and Bin Qasim on Aug 6 and 18, in Korangi and Landhi on Aug 7 and 19, in SITE and Keamari on Aug 8 and 19, in New Karachi and Malir on Aug 9 and 20, in Baldia and Liaquatabad Town on Aug 11 and 21, in Shah Faisal and Jamshed Town on Aug 12 and 23, in Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Gulberg on Aug 13 and 25, in North Nazimabad and Saddar on Aug 15 and 26.—PPI
