Schwarzenegger to run for governorship
LOS ANGELES, Aug 7: Action film star Arnold Schwarzenegger defied predictions and frightened Democrats on Wednesday when he announced he would run for governor in a bid to terminate Governor Gray Davis’s career.
The news sent shock waves through the California Democratic Party which has memories of another actor who quit the stage for politics, Ronald Reagan, governor and president.—Reuters
