Commanders discuss border situation

ISLAMABAD, Aug 6: A Corps Commanders’ conference was held at the General Headquarters here on Wednesday morning to discuss the situation on Line of Control, working boundary, and international borders.

The conference, which was presided over by President Gen Pervez Musharraf, was attended by all the Corps Commanders and Principal Staff officers, an ISPR announcement said.

During the course of the meeting the participants discussed the situation on the LoC, working boundary, international borders and other matters of professional importance.

They also deliberated upon the measures that have been taken for flood relief and contribution by the Pakistan Army to provide support and succour to the flood victims as a result of heavy rains.

The participants of the meeting were also given a comprehensive briefing on the inter-nal security situation in the country.
