SUKKUR, Aug 6: Six people were injured in an armed clash between Arbani and Jagirani tribesmen in Kutcho Bhindi area, Ghotki, on Wednesday.

Tension has mounted in the area following the murder of Anwar Ali Arbani last week and both the groups have been exchanging fire since then.

The police established a checkpost in the area to control the situation but it was learnt that the policemen deployed there had fled the checkpost.

However, the police said a man, Fareed Jagirani, was arrested on the charge of killing Mr Arbani.

They said the injured were taken to a private hospital but none of the groups had approached the police for lodging FIR.
