KARACHI, Aug 6: Three ships, including a rice loader, are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side thanks to steady arrivals. As a result, seven ships, Oriental Bright, Sima Bahar, Tai He, Manhattan Bridge and Kota Wijaya to unload and load containers, Nur Yanbu to offload chemicals and Sea Ford to load molasses were berthed after the departure of five.

The departing ships were led by Kota Wijaya, Global Paramount, Great Creation, LMZ Alia and Riga, while Manhattan Bridge, Lauren, Mecrcs Momari, Shang Yuan Men, Hyderabad, Hyundai Sprinter, Sima Bahar and Tai.He are due to sail out on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 56,508 tons comprising 15,304 tons of export cargo, including 2,785 tons of rice and 41,204 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Oriental Bouqest, with tallow, Bow Giovanni, with chemicals and Multan to load 15,000 tons of rice.
