KARACHI, Aug 5: Chemistry Department beat Food Science Department 2-1 to lift the Karachi University Inter-departmental badminton boys championship played at the KU Gymnasium Hall.

Results (Singles) Adeel Siddiqui (Chemistry) bt Ali-uz-Zaman (Food and Science) 2-1; Faisal (Chemistry) bt Furqan (Food and Science) 3-0 Doubles: Ali-uz-Zaman/Furqan (Food and Science) bt Adeel/Faisal (Chemistry) 2-1.

TENNIS: Computer Science Department captured the Karachi University Inter-departmental tennis title when they beat Physics Department 2-1 in the final.

Results (Singles) Fayyaz-ur-Rashid (Physics) bt Saad (Computer Science) 6-1, 6-2, 6-4; M.Ather (Computer Science) bt Zain (Physics) 6-0, 6-0, 6-0; Doubles: Saad/Ather (Computer Science) bt Fayyaz/Nazakat (Physics) 6-0, 6-3, 6-1.

HOCKEY: The following were the results of matches played on Tuesday in the Karachi University Inter-departmental hockey tournament at the KU ground.
