KARACHI: Girl among two die in accidents

KARACHI, Aug 5: A young girl died in a road traffic accident, in reaction to which, some enraged youths set the bus on fire in Lyari on Tuesday.

According to the police, an eight-year-old girl, Zohra, fell from a speeding minibus of route (P-1) on Shah Latif Road in Lyari. She died on the spot.

Later, some enraged youths set the bus on fire. However, the errant driver of the minibus escaped from the scene. As police called the fire-tender to control the fire, it was pelted upon by the angry crowd.

In another road accident, a young man died and another was injured in Sachal police limits.

Police said that Satram, 25, was driving the vehicle (GS- 6050), when it over turned. Satram died on the spot, while a passenger Altaf Husain was injured.

ELECTROCUTION: A young man died of electrocution near Lighthouse at M.A. Jinnah Road on Tuesday.

Police said that Waqar, 25, an electrician was working at his store when he received an electric shock. He was shifted to the Civil Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
