KARACHI, Aug 5: The Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi, would accept application forms from private and government educational institutions regarding renewal of recognition and affiliation fees upto Aug 20 and Aug 31 respectively.

According to the BIE notification, all government institutions, whose renewal of recognition/ affiliation granted by the board have been expired may submit the prescribed proforma, available on payment of Rs200 at the board office, for further extension. For the purpose, the board has fixed Aug 31 as the last date and in case of non-compliance, it would not allow any admission or enrolment and examination facilities to institutions concerned for the session 2003-2004.

Likewise, all the left over private institutions have also been informed to furnish applications, latest by Aug 20 for further renewal of the recognition/affiliation. The government institutions are required to pay Rs2,000 while the private institutions would have to pay Rs5,000 in the shape of pay-order as the requisite fee, added the notification.

HSC RESULTS: The BIEK would declare the results of Diploma in Physical Education exams and Intermediate Home Economics (Part-I) exams on Aug 6, said a board official on Tuesday.

The results of HSC premedical annual exams are likely to be declared on Aug 11 while the results of pre-engineering group would be out in the third week of this month. The results of second year examinations of all groups would be declared during the current month, he added.
