KARACHI: Postgraduate classes


KARACHI, Aug 2: Sindh government will introduce postgraduate classes in 12 existing degree colleges of the province, six of which are located in Karachi.

The project would cost about Rs60 million for which budgetary allocation has already been made in the annual development programme.

The six degree colleges of Karachi, where the postgraduate classes will be introduced, include Shaheed-e-Millat Govt Girls Degree College, Azizabad; Mujibu Nisa Govt Girls College, New Karachi; Women Degree College, Frere Road; Girls Degree College, Korangi No-4; Govt Girls Degree College, Lyari; and Premier Girls College, Nazimabad.

Sindh Minister for Planning and Development Syed Shoaib Ahmed Bokhari has directed the officials of his department to start work on this project.

In a letter sent to the Additional Chief Secretary Planning and Development, the minister asked him to hold consultation with the principals of those colleges, which were identified for introduction of postgraduate classes.

Mr Bokhari also directed to identify the remaining six colleges in the interior of the province for the introduction of postgraduate classes.
