ISLAMABAD, Aug 1: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has extended the last date for receipt of applications for its recently launched scholarship schemes up to Aug 15.

These include indigenous scholarship scheme, merit scholarship scheme and post-doctoral scheme.

The HEC’s indigenous scholarship scheme was launched for PhD studies in the fields of mathematics, statistics, biological sciences, chemical sciences, chemistry, agriculture, veterinary sciences and earth sciences.

The merit scholarship scheme was launched for PhD studies in the fields of engineering, information technology/computer sciences, mathematics/statistics, agriculture, veterinary sciences and earth sciences while the scheme of post-doctoral studies was launched for the faculty members of sciences, social sciences and engineering disciplines teaching in all the public sector universities in the country.

The HEC has asked the applicants to submit application forms before August 15, to the director planning (S&T), HEC, Islamabad.
