PESHAWAR: Bail granted

PESHAWAR, Aug 1: A single bench of the Peshawar High Court on Friday granted bail to an alleged drug peddler.

The bench, comprising Justice Fazalur Rehman Khan, directed that the accused-applicant, Raheem Khan, should be released after furnishing two sureties of Rs 2,00,000 each.

The accused was arrested in Swabi on March 24. The police had allegedly recovered 3.5 kilogrammes of charas from his possession.

The accused pleaded innocent, adding that he had been falsely implicated in the case. His bail was earlier rejected by a lower court.—Bureau
