KARACHI, Aug 1: Four ships carrying gas and crude oil, containers and to load molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Owing to delay in arrivals, only one ship, Kota Indah to offload and load containers was berthed after the departure of seven.

The ships, which departed included Gao He, Global Progress, Al-Manakh, Hyundai Stride, Mariy Ann, Astrea and Ginga Lanner, while Orient Stride, Kota Indah, Indardi, Wehr Havel and Sinar Bangka are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was also relatively slow where the total tonnage handled fell to 47,180 tons comprising 19,967 tons of export cargo including 1,494 tons of rice and 27,213 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Ocean-I, to load molasses, L.M.Z. Valia, with crude oil, Ilia, with aviation gas, Ocean Starlight, with containers.
