KARACHI: Parts of city get rain

KARACHI, July 30: A couple of localities in the city received rain on Wednesday while the Met Office forecast a drizzle for Thursday.

Pakistan Meteorological Department officials told Dawn on Wednesday that the city received an average of 3.05 millimetres of rain.

They said the Met Office observatory at Masroor Base had recorded three millimetres of rain, Airport less than one millimetre, Faisal Base less than one millimetre, North Karachi three millimetres, Pakistan Quarters 4.2 millimetres and Baldia 8.1 millimetres.

They said that on Wednesday maximum and minimum temperatures had been 29 degrees Centigrade and 26.7 degrees Centigrade respectively. They added that humidity was 85 per cent.
