Local govts criticized

SWABI, July 25: Education Minister Maulana Fazal Ali said on Friday the local governments have become a headache for the provincial government.

Speaking at a function in Zarobi, he said that the power to transfer government employees of grade 1 to 16 was given to the district governments but they acted according to their own priorities.

He said that the World Bank and the German aid for the North-West Frontier Province was stopped due to the Shariat Bill passed by the provincial assembly.
