Detailed verdict


ISLAMABAD, July 25: The Supreme Court on Friday released the detailed judgment on the petitions challenging the restriction on the defeated candidates to contest the Senate election.

The SC, in its short order on Feb 10, had declared the law which prohibited those defeated in the NA elections from standing for a Senate seat as “discriminatory” and “violative of Article 25 of the Constitution.”—Staff Reporter
