Two killed in separate incidents

RAWALPINDI, July 22: Two persons, including a teenaged boy, were killed in separate incidents in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

Police said Mohammad Ali, 16, was on his way home when three persons — Zubair, Adnan and Jabber — attacked him on Aurang Road in Dhoke Hassu. The boy received serious injuries and died on the spot.

According to the police, Ali had a brawl with the accused few days ago.

The police have arrested the accused and shifted the body of the deceased to the hospital for autopsy. Similarly, man was killed in a road accident in Tarnol on Tuesday.

The deceased, Abdul Majeed Shah, 75, was crossing the road when a car (LOF-5595) hit him. He received critical injuries and died on his way to the hospital, police and hospital authorities said.

Meanwhile, burglars and thieves struck at four different places in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad and deprived people of cash, valuables and vehicles.
