KARACHI, July 22: Seven ships carrying containers, coal and to load molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where five ships, Ocean Genius, Min He to unload and load containers, Jens Munk to offload general cargo, Steel Glory to offload DAP fertilizer and L.M.Z. Vall to offload crude oil were berthed after the departure of eight.

Sailing on the other hand was maintained on the higher side as eight ships departed after unloading and loading import and export cargoes. They are: Procyon Leader, China Star, Iwato, Ocean Genius, Le Ye, Sea Power and Nur Yanbu.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active as the total tonnage handled rose to 94,417 tons comprising 13,231 tons of export tonnage including 7,300 tons of liquid cargo and 81,186 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Bunga Masempat, Hyundai Future, India Star, Mar Challenger and Al-Mirqab, with containers, Shang Yuan Men, to load 10,500 tons of molasses and Gizan Glory, with 39,702 tons of coal.
