Four arrested
RAWALPINDI, July 21: The police on Sunday arrested a gang, allegedly involved in various robberies, from Jatli, Thakar Mor, and recovered Rs300,000, automatic weapons, vehicles and other valuables.
The district police officer, Syed Morawat Shah, on Monday told newsmen that the gang was arrested after an encounter.
The accused included Zawar Kibriya, Faqeer Muhammad, Hafiz Ikhlaq Ahmed and Iftihkar Hussain.
The police seized a 222-bore automatic rifle, a 12-bore shotgun, two 30-bore pistols, bullets and two vehicles (PRM-4164 and RIY-9401).
