KARACHI, July 21: Eight ships carrying containers, tallow, steel coils and to load ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active owing to steady arrivals. As a result, seven ships, Astor, China Star to unload and load containers, Procyon Leader to offload cars, Sea Power and Leye to unload steel coils, Nur Yanbu and Gulf Progress to unload chemicals and gas oil respectively.

Four vessels, Sima Bahar, Orient Stried, Ageliki and Dolvi departed on Monday, while China Star, Jens Munk, Leye, Sea Power, Iwato and Gulf Progress are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 64,346 tons comprising 20,515 tons comprising 20,515 tons of export cargo and 43,834 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Oriental Lily, to load 4,000 tons of ethanol, Irina-2, with 6,800 tons of tallow, Eax Sanctity, Oxford, Wester Land, with containers, Ponto Medem, with 34,000 tons of DAP fertilizer and Saleh Aldeen, with steel coils.
