HYDERABAD, July 17: The Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit bench, on Wednesday issued notices to the district police officers of Hyderabad and Badin; the Taluka police officers, operations and investigations, Matli; the SHOs, Badin and Tando Ghulam Ali police stations; two private respondents, and the additional advocate general, Sindh, for July 23 on a constitutional petition, alleging police harassment.

The petitioners, Manzoor Ahmed and Hameed Khaskheli, filed a joint petition before the court, praying to restrain the respondent police officials from harassing them.

The petitioners claimed that following a dispute, involving a tractor, which according to private respondent, was sold to somebody by the father of Hameed Khaskheli.

They said that on July 6, 2002, one Jumoo Mirbahar had lodged a case against private respondent-8 (Bhojomal) at the Sujawal police station saying that his tractor was taken away by the officials of the ADBP in 1994 and it was sold to respondent-8.
