ISLAMABAD, July 8: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has allocated an amount of Rs1.536 billion for development projects in the budget 2002-2004.
According to a document, the authority would launch these projects under its Annual Works Programme (AWP).
The authority has earmarked a sum of Rs120 million to develop a new sector, D-12. This is the first ever allocation for the project. Of Rs120 million, an amount of Rs80 million would be spent on road works and Rs40 million on electrical and mechanical works.
Similarly, Rs1.2 million would be spent in sector E-7. A sum of Rs0.475 million would be spent on improvement of the drainage system and Rs0.058 million on installation of sign boards and cats eyes. A sum of Rs11.800 million has also been allocated for sector F-6. Of this, Rs4.470 would be spent on maintenance of Super Market, Rs1.283 million on covering the open drains along Embassy Road, Rs0.125 million on installation of sign boards and Rs0.500 million on sewerage system in the sector.
A sum of Rs11.260 million has been set aside for uplift schemes in sector F-7. An allocation of Rs0.167 million would be spent on fixing of curb stones at Nazim-ud-Din Road, Rs0.600 million on maintenance of footpaths in Super Market, F-7, Rs0.325 million on covering of manholes, Rs4.090 million on construction of second carriageway of Khayaban-e-Iqbal, Rs0.586 million on fixing of kerb stones at Marvi Road, Rs0.670 million on improvement of drainage system, Rs3.975 million on construction of pavements at Jinnah Super Market, Rs0.350 million on repair of damaged water supply line in F-7 Markez and Rs0.650 million on street lights.
Of total Rs14.970 million allocated for sector F-8, an amount of Rs0.370 million would be spent on fixing of sign boards and cats eyes along second carriageway, Khayaban-e-Iqbal, Rs0.671 million on construction of a drain and surface treatment at the same road, Rs0.850 million on maintenance of footpaths and drains, Rs1.237 million on construction of a car parking and beautification of Block No-16, A,B,F and G, Rs1.550 million on construction of footpaths in F-8 Markez, Rs0.490 million on installation of sign boards, Rs0.607 million on covering drains, Rs0.433 million on repair of Abbasia Market and Rs0.500 million on street lights.
For road and maintenance works in F-9 Park, an amount of Rs2.600 million would be utilised. An amount of Rs15.300 million would be spent in sector F-10. Of this, Rs10.1 would be spent on roads and Rs5.2 million on water supply and other maintenance works.
A sum of Rs5.500 million would be spent in sector F-11. Of this, Rs4.48 million has been earmarked for road works and Rs1.020 million for water supply and electrical works.
For sector G-6, where majority of government employees are residing, an amount of Rs4.900 million has been earmarked. Of this, Rs2.50 million would be spent on road works, Rs1.80 million on maintenance works and Rs0.600 million on electrical and mechanical works.
The authority has allocated a sum of Rs6.250 million for sector G-7. Of this, Rs4.500 million would be spent on road works, Rs1.250 million on maintenance works and Rs0.500 million on electrical and mechanical works.
An amount of Rs8.800 million would be utilised in sector G-8 including Rs2 million for new works, Rs 0.600 on roads projects, Rs5.200 million on maintenance works and Rs1.00 million on electric and mechanical works.
Sector G-9 will receive Rs9.480 million during the current fiscal year. Of this, Rs3 million would be spent on road works, Rs5.480 million on electrical and mechanical works and Rs1 million on environment projects.
The authority has earmarked a sum of Rs9.602 million for sector G-10. Of this, Rs5.500 million would be spent on road works, Rs0.150 million on maintenance works, Rs2.952 million on electrical and mechanical works and Rs1 million on environment projects.
Funds of Rs10.100 million have been allocated for sector G-11. Of which Rs5.900 million would be spent on roads works, Rs0.200 million on maintenance works, Rs2.500 million for electric and mechanical works and Rs1.500 million on environment projects.
A sum of Rs11 million has been earmarked for sector H-8. Of this, Rs8 million would be spent on road works, Rs2.500 million on electric and mechanical works and Rs 0.500 million on environmental schemes.
An amount of Rs4.150 million would be spent in sector H-9, Rs11.500 million in H-11 sector, Rs19.486 million in I-8 sector, Rs 4.800 million in I-9 sector, Rs8.500 million in I-10 sector and Rs20.800 million in I-11 sector.
