KARACHI, July 1: Hundreds of women residing in Mehmoodabad staged a protest demo in front the water and sanitation office on Tuesday.
They said that drinking water being supplied to them was contaminated. They expressed their apprehension that sewage was being mixed with potable water, which might cause epidemics.
Raising slogans against the officers of water and sanitation department, they said that carelessness of the concerned officials was endangering human lives. They appealed to the higher authorities to take notice of the situation and resolve the issue at once, lest the example of Landhi Town was repeated.—PPI
