KARACHI, June 27: Seven ships carrying DAP fertilizer, palm oil and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side thanks to larger handling of the liquid cargo, rising to 0.122m tons comprising 15,938 tons of export cargo, including 2,639 tons of wheat and 819 tons of sugar and 0.106m tons of import cargo, which also included 74,640 tons of oils.
Berthing at the wharves was active where five ships, Global Paramount, Bunga Masdua to unload and load containers, Denizkizi to offload general cargo, Gracia and L.M.Z. Christina to unload crude oil.
Seven ships, Tai He, Al-Wajba, Hyundai Stride, Denizkizi, Keefan, Bow Giovanni, and Botany Treasure departed, while Tolmi, Bunga Masdua, Global Paramount, Gacia, L.M.Z. Christina, Chios Sailor and Oriental Bright are due to sail out on Saturday.
The following ships are due on Saturday: Bolan, with general cargo, Titan Venus, with 6,500 tons of palm oil, H.D. Saturn chemicals, Iwato, Australia Bridge, Sima Bahar, with containers and Nautic Confidence, with 28,108 tons of DAP fertilizer.
