Chandnas remain unbeaten

KARACHI, June 21: Chandnas and Lipton took early lead in Karachi Gymkhana Summer Bridge Tournament which commenced at KG Bridge Hall on Friday evening.

Chandnas first defeated Pakistan Oils and then outplayed Doctors.

In the opening round Mohsin Chandna-Shakeel Chandna netted winning swings while in the close, their partners, Gulzar Bilal-Amin Hakeem penalised for every wishful bidding.

They defeated Pakistan Oils 23-7 and netted 25 VPs in their second to finish with 48 Victory Points (VPs)

Lipton was occupying second spot with 41 VPs. They defeated Eastern Federal Union (EFU) when outpaced Makeshift. Giants and Allanas are also heading towards the top with unblemished record of success.

Candyland lost the opening match narrowly to Giants but made amends in next round.

Sixteen teams are participating in seven rounds competition.

In the meantime three-day Yousuf Dada Bridge Tournament will be held at Aslam Bridge Hall from July 4 under the auspices of Karachi Bridge Association.—APP
