Recruitment of teachers, other staff cancelled

MIANWALI, June 21: In compliance to Punjab government’s orders, the district government has cancelled the recruitment of teachers and other staff without assigning any reason.

In a press release issued here on Saturday, District Nazim Humair Hayat Khan Rokhri said the recruitment process in all departments except the Education department would continue in accordance with the schedule.

The last date for the submission of applications and the interviews has been fixed June 25. There would be a local holiday on that date on account of Urs of Mian Sultan Zikria. All the same, the departments fall under the district government have been directed to receive applications and interview the candidates.

SANCTIONED: The government has sanctioned Rs3.57 million grant for the supply of gas to Kundian town.

This was stated by District Nazim Humair Hayat Khan while speaking to a public gathering at Kundian on Saturday.

He said that he had got the approval of the project during his meeting with Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali.

He further said that the Punjab government had granted an additional fund of Rs15 million to the district government in addition to the budget.

Amir Muhammad Khan Sunbal, the Union Council No 49 Nazim, Malik Nazir Ahmed, lady councillor Rukhsana Bunyad and Maulana Sultan Ahmed also spoke on the occasion.

FINED: Judicial magistrate Rao Pervaiz Akhtar fined Rs3,000 each to three petrol pumps under Civil Defence Act for not keeping the fire extinguishers.

The names of the petrol pumps are: Al-Raheem Petroleum, HM Khuda Bakhsh Petroleum and Watta Khel Petroleum.
