POLICY: The education department has yet to finalize recruitment policy for the district governments even after the passage of almost two years to the introduction of devolution plan.
Hundreds of teaching and non-teaching posts are lying vacant with almost each of the 34 districts of the province due to the absence of any recruitment policy.
Recently, all executive district officers (education) have received a letter from the education secretariat to refrain the district governments from making recruitments, stating that the policy in this regard had yet to be finalized.
